One of the best perks of being a vape reviewer is that I often get to test devices that are on the bleeding edge of technological advancement. So imagine how excited I was when I got the GeekVape Bident in the mail! This is the FIRST dual coil pod system in the world, introducing an RDA style coil structure to the stale pod coil market. The Looks

It’s always nice to see a company offering such variety in the design of their products. It really speaks to the breadth of users they’re willing to engage with. How it Works

You can wrap your device in the prettiest package around, but vapers are gonna know a bad device when they use one. So what makes the Bident stand apart from the stale pod market? I mean we’re only a year or two into the pod craze and we’ve already seen dozens of devices from the top manufacturers. Geekvape really had their work cut out when they started designing this device. I think that’s the reason why they went for a dual coil atomizer instead of a ceramic coil or vertical coil like most pod devices use. 

But they found the secret to making vapors happy, fantastic E-Juice taste with every puff! There may be dozens of devices on the market, but there’s only a handful that can produce great flavor. Pod devices have a disadvantage when it comes to flavor, because nic salts are made with 50% or 35% nicotine they don’t have as much flavor pop as sub-ohm devices using 3% or 6% nicotine.

What I Don’t Like

There’s one thing about the Bident that I’m not a huge fan of. The construction is built to last so they put high tensile springs on the battery connection pins that the cartridge sits on. I can tell GeekVape did this for the sole reason of increased lifespan, since the springs on those pins are the most likely fail points for most pod devices. 

But it has an unintended side effect that I’ve found slightly annoying while testing this device. The pin springs are so strong that they tend to pop the cartridge out of the device just far enough that it wont fire. Since this is an issue with spring tension it should, with repeated use, eventually fix itself. But in the meantime it is a bit of a pain to keep pushing the cartridge back into place every now and again. 

The Verdict

With the amount of flavor you get out of the GeekVape Bident you’d be hard pressed to find a better pod system out there. Their patented coil technology is one of the hallmarks of GeekVape that’s kept them ahead of the competition for so long and these new pod coils are cutting edge technology. I’ve been testing the Bident for a week or two now and it's completely replaced the SMOK Trinity Alpha as my favorite pod device.
